Changelog
What changed for the people who use GreatSprites, newest first. The runtime is in preview until version 1.0, and every change to it is listed here.
The app on phones, a drop zone and a guide to making
The app works at phone and tablet widths, the picture field is a drop zone, and every choice has a "?" tip. A new docs page, Making an animation, covers the picture, the element, the quality, once or loop, and how to describe the motion.
API keys in the app and a one-file client
Pro workspaces make and revoke API keys in the app. The API covers keys, pictures, price checks, making, waiting, previews and exports, with curl or a one-file Node client.
Referral links
Every workspace has a referral link: the studio you invite gets bonus credits with its first payment, and you get credits once that payment has settled.
Once or loop
Every animation is made either to play once and land back on your picture, or to loop for as long as it is on screen. Choose it in the app or in the API.
Tested on every PixiJS 8 version
The runtime plays on every PixiJS 8.x from 8.0.5 to 8.22.0 with the WebGL renderer. Under the WebGPU renderer, elements show their still picture (Unsupported devices).
Instructions for coding agents
A text to give your coding agent, or to add to your pipeline's rules, so it puts GreatSprites animations into your game the right way.
Your animations: folders, names and single downloads
Animations are kept in folders: open one, name it, move it, download it on its own, make a variation, and delete with undo.
Memory and loading
Memory and loading explains how GPU memory is counted. The phone budget is for what is loaded at the same time, not for every animation your game has, and every price check shows the animation against it.
Two free tests on your own picture
Make two animations from your own art, play them in your own build, and see what they cost the device. No card.
